Vice Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris and Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healy will address the Quincy Dems at the QDCC’s 32nd Annual Breakfast, which will be held virtually on Sunday, October 18th from 10:00-11:30 am.
We are honored to welcome the future Vice President (via video) to the City of Presidents and to welcome back Attorney General Healy, who will be speaking to us live! This announcement could not be more fitting. As you know, the mission of the QDCC is to elect Democratic candidates at the local, state, and national level, while strengthening the Democratic Party in Massachusetts and within the City of Quincy.
We are fortunate this year to highlight three accomplished female elected officials, as we will also present Quincy’s Councilor-at-Large, Anne M. Mahoney with the Dennis F. Ryan Community Award.
Tickets to the Quincy Dems Virtual Breakfast are $10 and can be purchased at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/quincydemsbreakfast. The link to the virtual event will be emailed to your 48 hours before the event begins.
If you would like to shine a light on anyone you know that deserves to be recognized for their contributions during these unprecedented and difficult times, please remember to submit your COVID Heroes nominations to Nancy DeLisle at ndelisle26@gmail.com.
It’s important to know what we are all fighting for. We’re also asking for you (and your friends!) to send us a short video letting us know why this election is important to you by submitting them to the Quincy Dems Drop Box by Friday, October 16th.

Remembering Rosemary Wahlberg
The Quincy Democratic City Committee community was saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Rosemary Walhberg who passed earlier this week at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital surrounded by her loving family at the age of 87.
Rosemary was a resident of Quincy, Massachusetts for sixty years serving as the former executive director of the Quincy Community Action Program for twenty-five of those years. She and her husband Archie were well known for their generosity, their sense of community, and their commitment to organizations like QCAP, Quincy City Hospital, Manet Health, Quincy College, and the Quincy Dems.
Rosemary was a proud Democratic activist and, alongside her best friend and husband of sixty-six years Archie Walhberg, she was engaged in some of the most important local, state, and federal political campaigns throughout the years. They were presented with the Dennis F. Ryan Award by the Quincy City Democratic Committee for their steadfast commitment to the city of Quincy and to the Democratic Party. Rosemary will be dearly missed, but her presence in this community will be felt for generations to come. She is survived by her husband Archie and a large and loving family.

The Quincy Democratic City Committee has endorsed the We the People Act, a call for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to clarify that Constitutional rights are exclusively for people, not corporations, that money is not speech, and consequently, that our government can place appropriate restrictions on financial contributions in political campaigns.
