The Quincy Democratic City Committee community was saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Rosemary Walhberg who passed earlier this week at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital surrounded by her loving family at the age of 87.
Rosemary was a resident of Quincy, Massachusetts for sixty years serving as the former executive director of the Quincy Community Action Program for twenty-five of those years. She and her husband Archie were well known for their generosity, their sense of community, and their commitment to organizations like QCAP, Quincy City Hospital, Manet Health, Quincy College, and the Quincy Dems.
Rosemary was a proud Democratic activist and, alongside her best friend and husband of sixty-six years Archie Walhberg, she was engaged in some of the most important local, state, and federal political campaigns throughout the years. They were presented with the Dennis F. Ryan Award by the Quincy City Democratic Committee for their steadfast commitment to the city of Quincy and to the Democratic Party. Rosemary will be dearly missed, but her presence in this community will be felt for generations to come. She is survived by her husband Archie and a large and loving family.
